Go to : Business Excellence (BE) initiative

Overview

The SME Management Action for Results (SMART) Initiative helps Singapore-based SMEs develop business management capabilities using the Business Excellence framework. Businesses have the option to perform a productivity diagnosis using the IMPACT Assessment Tool as well. Under SMART, a qualified consultant works with the SME to develop a roadmap to build its capabilities. The SME can then initiate projects to implement the roadmap.

The management team of SMEs embarking on the SMART initiative must commit up to six man-days (48 hours) over one to two months for the engagement sessions with the consultant. SPRING will support up to 70% of qualifying cost for the consultancy incurred by your company on the project during the qualifying period subject to a maximum grant of :

  • S$3,500; or
  • S$4,200 for businesses that include the IMPACT Assessment

Criteria

You may apply for the SMART initiative if your company meets all these criteria :

  • Registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • 30% local shareholding
  • In operation for at least three years
  • Group annual sales turnover of SGD5 million to SGD100 million
