Since its pilot launch in August 2005, a total of 37 retailers and 14 shopping malls have joined the Customer-Centric Initiative (CCI) for the retail sector.
Results from a recent study by the National University of Singapore on 10 of the 20 CCI pilot retailers show that their industry-adjusted sales growth improved by 65% after they joined CCI one year ago. The survey also revealed a strong association between the compliment to complaint ratio and industry-adjusted sales growth in these companies. On average, every 1% improvement in compliment to complaint ratio resulted in a corresponding 10% increase in industry-adjusted sales growth.
