In October 2008, the Ministry of Trade and Industry appointed CASE as the accreditation body for Spa & Wellness enterprises. In May 2009, CASE introduced the CaseTrust for Spa & Wellness Accreditation to raise the professional standards of the industry and instill consumer confidence through good business and fair trading practices.
The CaseTrust for Spa & Wellness Accreditation Scheme was introduced to encourage enterprises obtain the CaseTrust certification by defraying consultancy and assessment cost. The scheme aims to raise industry standards and allow more bona fide operators gain recognition for good sales practices and standards through accreditation.
You may apply for the CaseTrust for Spa & Wellness Accreditation Scheme if your company meets these criteria :
- at least 30% of the shareholding is local
- group fixed assets are below $15 million
- no more than 200 employees
- project is carried out for Singapore-based operations only
- strictly for companies with valid Massage Establishment License
SPRING will co-fund the consultancy fee up to 70% of supportable cost (capped at $2,100 for grant amount) and the assessment fee of 30% (capped at 3 outlets), as per illustrated in the table below :

Applicants are required to ensure the project :
- includes both consultancy and assessment cost
- application is submitted from 1 Oct 2009 - 31 Dec 2010
- application is submitted before commencement of project
- must not exceed a 12-months period
The grant shall be disbursed based on a reimbursement basis, upon completion of the project. All claims are to be submitted within 6 months of project completion, together with CaseTrust certification, receipts and other supporting documents.
No claims may be submitted unless the company achieves the CaseTrust for Spa and Wellness Accreditation.
Before you apply
- Find a consultant for your project.
- Obtain a Project Proposal from your consultant.
- Ensure that the project and business both qualify for Spa & Wellness Accreditation Scheme.
- Prepare all the supporting documents :

- financial statements

- Wait 2 - 3 weeks for SPRING to reply. You can start on your project 1 day after submitting your application form - it will not affect the outcome in any way. Bear in mind that your application may be rejected.
Upon successful application
- Receive Letter of Offer, Spa & Wellness Accreditation Scheme Claim Form and Spa & Wellness Accreditation Scheme Terms & Conditions.
- Start on the project within 6 months of receiving the Letter of Offer.
- Keep proper financial records. E.g. expenses, invoices, receipts relating to the project.
- Keep proper project records. E.g. scope, timeline, deliverables.
- Get CASE to provide a copy of achieved CaseTrust for Spa and Wellness Accreditation certificate. You will need this report to claim for funds.
- Pay the consultant in full before submitting your claim.
Claiming for funds
- Complete and submit CaseTrust for Spa and Wellness Accreditation Claim Form. Attach the supporting documents :
- invoices
- receipts (including cheque number)
- copy of CaseTrust for Spa and Wellness Accreditation Certificate
Note : Claim must be received within 6 months from the scheduled completion date of the assignment. Otherwise, the offer of the grant shall automatically lapse.
- Wait 3 - 4 weeks to receive the funds. To receive funds through interbank giro, complete and submit the Giro form (
, 96kB) with your Claim form. Applicants not on the giro scheme will be given a cheque.
