You can engage local and overseas experts from polytechnics, universities, research institutions and the industry to help you build up your in-house capabilities. They will be seconded to your company and SPRING will cover part of the salary and some related-costs for up to two years.
You can use the grant to defray up to 70% of the costs of hiring technical experts on secondment, which includes :
- Salary including the employer’s CPF contribution (grant support for salary is capped at S$10,000 per month)
- Insurance and medical expenses
- Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) and 1 round trip airfare for overseas secondees
Conditions for secondment :
- Secondment must be carried out in Singapore.
- Secondment must be for at least three months. Grant support will not exceed two years, although the secondment can last beyond two years
- Secondee should not be in any way related to the applicant-company
- Each company can only hire a maximum of two technical experts
