Henkel recalls ‘Sofix Parquet’ floor cleaner due to presence of micro-organisms
Henkel AG & Co. KGaA has issued a recall of its ‘Sofix Parquet’ floor cleaning detergent. Micro-organisms that may have an adverse effect on some people with a weak or compromised immune system have been found during the course of a routine quality control check. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately, close the bottle securely and store it in a safe place, before returning the product to Henkel, the manufacturer. Tern recalls Verge X and S series and Eclipse S series bicycles due to risk of falling
Tern has issued a recall of Verge X and S series as well as Eclipse S series bicycles. The frames of the bicycle may crack and detach, posing a fall hazard. Consumers are advised to stop riding the bicycles immediately and contact their respective dealers. 3T Design recalls Cervélo Bicycles with Aura Pro Handlebars due to risk of injury
3T Design has issued a recall of Cervélo Bicycles with Aura Pro Handlebars due to risk of injury. The bicycle handlebar clamps can detach during riding and cause the rider to lose control. MAGURA recalls MT 6 and MT 8 hydraulic bike brakes due to brake failure risk
MAGURA has issued a recall of the MT 6 and MT 8 hydraulic disc brakes due to risk of brake failure, which might pose a danger to cyclists. This was because of faults in part of a production batch. Those who have bought the brakes are advised to stop using the product immediately and seek a replacement from the dealers or retailers where they made the purchase. Bugaboo to replace carry handle for the Bugaboo Cameleon3

Mayer recalls Delizia DZX 730 built-in gas hob due to risk of gas leakage
Mayer Marketing Pte Ltd has issued a recall for its built-in gas hob model, Delizia DZX 730, due to risk of gas leakage. The issue can be linked to a lapse in quality control at the factory. As a result, a small number of gas hobs fail to meet the relevant safety standards. Amasco recalls Ceiling Fan Model No. AMC-666 due to risk of fan blade holder breaking

The problem can be linked to improper installation practices, unauthorised modifications to the blade holder, as well as material fatigue of the blade holders. Bugaboo to replace carry handles for Cameleon and Donkey model strollers
Bugaboo International B.V. has issued a notice to replace the carry handles for its Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey model strollers. Under certain conditions, the white button on the carry handle may pop out when the Bugaboo Cameleon or Bugaboo Donkey carrycot/seat is resting on the ground or is placed on an unstable surface. If the white button pops out, the carry handle may detach on one side. If this happens while the carry cot or seat is occupied, this may pose a fall or choking hazard to the child. Ride-on animal toy recalled for exceeding phthalates limit
SPRING Singapore has found that a ride-on animal toy given out as a free gift contains unsafe levels of phthalates, commonly used as a plasticiser in toys. The toy comes in the shape of cows, deers and ponies. Consumers should stop using the toys and dispose of them immediately, or return them to the retailer, Aura Roboclean Singapore Pte Ltd (Tel: 6100 9788). Jinshunli electric multifunctional pot may cause fire or electric shock
SPRING Singapore has found a non-registered electric multifunctional pot to be unsafe. The pot, which has the marking “Jinshunli Multifunctional Pot”, was tested by an accredited third party testing laboratory and found to have several safety breaches. Besides a faulty thermal cutout, there is no earthing for the accessible metal parts. Further, the 3 flat-pin plug that comes with the pot does not fit the mains sockets here. These breaches pose both fire and electrocution hazards, making the product unsafe for consumers. Consumers who have bought the pots are advised to stop using them and approach the retailer for assistance. For more information, please refer to our news release.

Bumbo International recalls Baby Seats due to fall hazard
Bumbo International has issued a recall for Bumbo Baby Seats due to fall hazard. Babies can manoeuvre out of or fall from the Bumbo seat, posing a risk of serious injuries.

The bottom of the Bumbo seat is round and flat with a diameter of about 15 inches. It is constructed of a single piece of molded foam and comes in various colours. The seat has leg holes and the seat back wraps completely around the child. On the front of the seat in raised lettering is the word "Bumbo" with the image of an elephant on top. The bottom of the seat has the following words: "Manufactured by Bumbo South Africa Material: Polyurethane World Patent No. PCT: ZA/1999/00030." The back of the seat has several warnings and seats manufactured since 2008 have an additional label on the front of the seat warning against use on raised surfaces.

Consumers should immediately stop using the product until they order and install a free repair kit, which includes: a restraint belt with a warning label, installation instructions, safe use instructions and a new warning sticker. The belt should always be used when a child is placed in the seat. Even with the belt, the seat should never be used on any raised surface. Consumers should also stop using Bumbo seat covers that interfere with the installation and use of the belt. Motherswork recalls Green Toys Mini Vehicles due to choking hazard
Mothers Work Pte Ltd has issued a recall of Green Toys Mini Vehicles sold exclusively in Motherswork stores as it has assembly and labeling issues. The wheels on the cars may detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. The recalled products are the Mini Fastback Set, Mini Taxi, Mini Police Car, Mini Red Fastback and Mini Vehicle Assortment. Their SKU identification codes are MVFA-1022, MTXY-1021, MPCB-1020, MFBR-1018 and MVSA-1016, respectively. Customers who have purchased the products are advised to keep them away from children and bring them to any Motherswork store for a full refund. Samsonite recalls “Tokyo Chic” Luggage due to health concerns
Samsonite has issued a worldwide recall for its American Tourister brand’s "Tokyo Chic" luggage. Parts of the side-carrying handles of the luggage have been found to contain high levels of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) which may cause cancer. The concerned product has model number starts with 34A*XXXXX, however, there is no serial number/model range imprinted on the luggage. Consumers who have purchased this product can refer to their warranty card or receipt for verification and have the side-carrying handles of their luggage replaced by Samsonite, from 25 June 2012 onwards, at :

Toys”R”Us recalls Imaginarium Activity Center due to choking hazard
Toys”R”Us has issued a recall of Imaginarium Activity Center sold exclusively in Toys”R” Us stores. The small wooden knobs attaching the xylophone keys to the end can detach, causing a choking hazard to young children. The Imaginarium 5-Sided Activity Center has two triangle-shaped ends with a wooden multi-coloured xylophone on one and a mirror on the other. The name “Imaginarium” appears in a blue, oval-shaped logo underneath the mirror on one end. The recalled product has model number 46284 which is printed on the back of the box, directly above the bar code. Specialized Bicycle Components recalls bike brake levers due to crash hazard
Specialized Bicycle Components has issued a recall for Tektro TL-83 brake levers, due to crash hazard. The adjuster cap and brake cable can slide out of position and make the brakes non-operational. This can cause a rider to lose control of the bicycle and crash. Nikon recalls EN-EL15 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery for risk of overheating
Nikon Singapore has issued a Service Advisory for some EN-EL15 Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries for Nikon digital single-lens reflex cameras and advanced cameras with interchangeable lenses. These batteries may not be up to standards due to a sub-standard component built into the affected batteries. In extremely rare cases, this issue may cause the battery to overheat and the exterior casing to become deformed. IKEA recalls ANTILOP children's high chair belt for potential fall hazard
IKEA has issued a recall for the ANTILOP children’s high chairs belts. The high chair belt can open unexpectedly in use, creating a fall hazard. Only ANTILOP high chairs from supplier #17389 with production dates 0607-0911(YYMM) are affected. Build-A-Bear Workshop recalls Colourful Hearts Teddy for potential choking hazard
Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. has issued a voluntary product safety recall of its Colourful Hearts Teddy (sold from April to Dec 2011). The teddy bear’s eyes could loosen and fall out, posing a choking hazard to children. However, to date, there have been no reported injuries. IKEA recalls PAX AURLAND mirror door for risk of falling 
IKEA has issued a recall of a limited number of PAX AURLAND mirrors (supplier number 12650 and 4-digit date stamp 1039 – 1048 printed on rear of mirror door). The large mirror can detach unexpectedly from the door and fall, creating sharp shards upon breaking. The mirror is heavy, and combined with the risk of breaking, it poses a risk of injury to users. Bugaboo International B.V. has issued a recall of the Bugaboo Bee model stroller manufactured between Jan 2011 and Sep 2011, bearing serial numbers from 160101110100051 to 160101113801999. The front swivel wheels on some of these strollers could potentially block forward movement and risk tipping over when in use.
