Business Excellence Assessor Development Opportunities
Assessor Development Sessions
Four BE assessor development sessions are held every year.
Recognition of Business Excellence Assessors
There are two recognition schemes for BE assessors. The first is a progression path for all BE assessors, takes into consideration both healthcheck assessments and awards assessments. It leads up to the title of Lead Business Excellence Assessor. This recognises the contributions of BE assessors to the BE programme.

The second recognition scheme, which leads up to the Green Jacket, is based on the number of awards assessments done. This recognises the contribution of BE assessors to the awards programme. The criteria are :
- 5 years of awards assessment, with a maximum of a 2-year break in between assessments
- At least 1 year of being Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader
- Good peer feedback
Applying to be a Business Excellence Assessor
The criteria to be a Business Excellence Assessor are :
- Eight years of work experience of which three years of experience in a managerial or professional capacity
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Preferably employed by a business excellence certified organisation or award winner. Those who have previously worked for business excellence certified organisations or award winners, and have knowledge of business excellence may also be considered
