The Singapore Quality Class for Private Education Organisations (SQC-PEO) scheme will be discontinued from 28 Feb 2010 and SPRING would not be accepting new applications for the scheme with effect from this date.
The Council for Private Education (CPE) has launched the Enhanced Registration Framework and the EduTrust Certification scheme on 21 Dec 2009. In view of this development, SPRING has done a review of the SQC-PEO scheme. The SQC-PEO scheme has generic
SQC business excellence requirements and customised requirements for the private education organization that are related to educational quality. As these customised requirements are now covered under the EduTrust Certification scheme, we have decided to discontinue with the SQC-PEO scheme.
We have also made suitable transition arrangements for organisations with SQC-PEO certification. They would continue to enjoy SQC-PEO status and benefits till their SQC-PEO certification expiry date as listed below.
