Proposal title

Singapore – The Leading Global Hub for e-Government Solutions

Vision

The project aims to establish Singapore as the global leader in innovative e-government solutions and capabilities.

Key initiatives under the proposal

To support the project’s vision and fulfill the desired outcomes, a three-prong strategy is to be adopted :

Targeted Marketing aimed at Foreign Government Agencies

SiTF will germinate project leads through targeted marketing aimed at foreign government agencies. It is essential however, that IE and IDA’s Government Chief Information Office (GCIO) are involved at necessary junctures to lend credibility to the projects. This will complement the later two approaches to bring about a sustainable pipeline of projects. In doing so, the association will also engage in efforts to develop channel partners for Singapore companies overseas.

Leverage on Multilateral Agencies (MLAs) and IE’s Connections

SiTF will undertake the following :
  • Identify project leads where MLAs’ funding is secured.
  • Tap on IE’s connections with MLAs to identify projects for collaboration.
  • Jointly organize marketing roadshows/workshops to increase awareness of Singapore e-government solutions and capabilities on a case-by-case basis.

Leverage on IDA’s GCIO to form G2G Initiatives

IDA’s Government Chief Information Office (GCIO) will support SiTF and the industry in engaging foreign governments on Government-to-Government (G2G) basis for projects, particularly in the areas of e-government planning, business blueprinting and governance.
