SMCCI intends to improve the business know-how of its members, so that they can better :
- Obtain professional assistance to derive long-term business strategies
- Rationalise and consolidate operations
- Get assistance to raise and manage capital
- Reduce operating expenses
- Improve overall cashflow and creditworthiness.
Harnessing Know-How : 5i Capability Building Programme
The 5i Capability Building Programme will assist micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to enhance their core competencies and competitiveness. Participating enterprises will first undergo a needs analysis stage through which business advisors identify their areas of improvement. After the diagnostic stage, business advisors will draft out developmental blueprints and guide the enterprises through their implementation stage.
Through the programme, SMCCI aims for a general improvement in the sustainability and profitability of the enterprises, with more Malay/Muslim enterprises acquiring the skills necessary to run a more successful business.
Raising the profile of the Malay/Muslim business community: Malay/Muslim Business Conference
The Malay/Muslim Business conference will provide a platform for the Malay/Muslim business community to congregate and discuss about issues affecting the community, as well as to learn about effective business strategies through distinguished speakers. SMCCI will also be facilitating networking sessions to promote greater interaction within the business community.
